AMD Radeon RX 5500 4GB Specs
The AMD Radeon RX 5500 4GB is a desktop OEM graphics card based on the RDNA 1.0 architecture. It is in the RX 5000 series cards and has a code name of Navi 14. The fabrication process is TSMC 7nm with a die size of 158 mm². It has a base clock of 1607 MHz and a boost clock of 1845 MHz. There are 6.4 billion transistors which allow this card to process data.
For cores and texture config, there are 1408 stream processors with 88 TMUs and also 32 ROPs. There are 22 compute units in the AMD Radeon RX 5000 with 2MB of level 2 cache. On the memory side, there is a decent 4GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 1750 MHz. Since the memory is GDDR6 and the memory clock is 1750 MHz, it gives this card a memory clock effective of 14 Gbps. The memory interface width is 128-bit giving the card a memory bandwidth of 224GB/s.
The theoretical performance of this card is based on the boost clock, architecture and number of cores. For this card, the half precision FP16 performance is 10.39104 TFLOPS, the single precision is 5.19552 TFLOPS and the double precision is 0.32472 TFLOPS. The amount of floating point operations this card can do per clock cycle is 4 for half precision, 2 for single precision and 1/8 for double precision. The texture fillrate is 162.36 GT/s and the pixel fillrate is 59.04 GP/s.
There are many technologies on the AMD Radeon RX 5500 4GB including: DirectX 12, FreeSync, OpenCL 2.1, OpenGL 4.6 and Vulkan 1.3. This card is VR ready but is not compatible with crossfire. Other technologies include: AMD FreeSync Technology, DirectX 12 Technology, The Vulkan API.
The maximum resolution is 7680×4320, achievable with Display Port 1.4a. The maximum HDMI resolution is 4096×3112. There is Display Port 1.4a and HDMI 2.0. There is no DVI, VGA or USB-c.
The AMD Radeon RX 5500 4GB requires PCIe 4.0 x8 although lower versions should still work. For power, it requires 1 x 8 pin connector from a PSU of at least 550 W. This card uses about 150 W of power. This card is a 2 Slot graphics card.
This card is an OEM card released on the 7th October 2019. View more RX 5500 cards here.
